Built for the Way You Actually Work
Each MSL course follows an 8-week structure with a proven framework that breaks graduate-level legal education into focused, manageable segments. You'll move through readings, case studies, simulations, and applied assessments on your own schedule, with clear weekly milestones to keep you on track without dictating when or where you log in.
Courses are delivered through Canvas. Everything you need: video lectures, readings, assignments, discussions, and faculty feedback, is in one place, accessible from anywhere.
Most courses also include two optional live sessions per week, giving you the chance to engage directly with faculty and classmates in real time if your schedule allows. But if you can't make it, you're not penalized. The program is designed to be fully completed asynchronously.

Learn by Doing, Not Just Reading
The MSL isn't built around memorizing legal doctrine. It's built around using it.
Every course progresses through a scaffolded sequence: understanding core legal principles, applying them in case studies, analyzing real-world strategies, and finally creating something you could actually use at work. Each course culminates in a capstone project graded with individualized feedback from instructors.
Across the eight courses of the MSL degree, you build a portfolio of professional deliverables. It's the functional equivalent of a thesis, oriented entirely toward practical impact.
Support for Wherever You Study
You'll have regular access to your instructors through discussion boards, office hours, and individualized feedback on your work. You'll also connect with a cohort of professionals navigating similar challenges in different industries, building a peer network that extends well beyond the program.
